2. Booking and Payment

2.1 Availability

All bookings are subject to availability. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.

Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise specified. We accept various payment methods as indicated during the booking process.

2.3 Confirmation

A booking confirmation will be sent to your email address upon successful payment. Please ensure your contact details are correct.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

3.1 Customer Cancellations

Cancellation policies vary by tour type and are specified at the time of booking. Generally:

• Cancellations made 7+ days before the tour date may receive a full refund minus administrative costs
• Cancellations made 3-6 days before may receive a 50% refund
• Cancellations made within 48 hours are non-refundable

3.2 Our Cancellations

We reserve the right to cancel tours due to insufficient bookings, weather conditions, or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will offer a full refund or alternative tour date.

4. Tour Participation

4.1 Age Requirements

Minimum age requirements vary by tour. Minors must be accompanied by an adult guardian.

4.2 Physical Requirements

Some tours may require moderate physical activity. Participants are responsible for assessing their own fitness levels and informing us of any medical conditions that may affect their participation.

4.3 Conduct

Participants are expected to behave respectfully. We reserve the right to remove anyone whose behavior is deemed disruptive or inappropriate, without refund.

5. Liability and Insurance

5.1 Historical Information

While we strive to provide accurate historical information and engaging tours, we are not responsible for any inaccuracies in historical content. Our tours are educational and entertainment purposes.

5.2 Personal Risk

Participants join tours at their own risk. Trails of History is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, or inconvenience sustained by participants during tours, except where liability cannot be excluded under Dutch or EU law.

5.3 Personal Property

We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal property during tours.

5.4 Insurance

We recommend that all participants have appropriate travel and personal insurance coverage.

6. Photography and Media

During our tours, photographs and videos may be taken for promotional purposes. By participating in a tour, you consent to the use of your image in our marketing materials. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform your guide at the start of the tour.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and tour materials, is the property of Trails of History and protected by Dutch and international copyright laws. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
